Also for the partner
About 30 – 40% of fertility issues lie with the man. Early andrological work-up by a urologist is recommended — we provide the referral.
Referral to centre
When basic diagnostics is complete and further steps (IUI, IVF, ICSI) make sense, we refer to a Swiss reproduction centre of your choice — with all findings, so nothing is duplicated.
Costs
Medically indicated diagnostics are generally billed through basic insurance; the deductible and co-payment apply. Treatment cover must be distinguished: the OKP covers intrauterine insemination (IUI), where the criteria are met, for no more than three treatment cycles per pregnancy. IVF/ICSI, namely in-vitro fertilisation and embryo transfer, are not mandatory OKP benefits and are generally self-paid. Please confirm the specific cover with the reproductive medicine centre and your insurer before treatment. More in our fertility information and the FOPH KLV Annex 1 (German).
